I have been slacking on my blog posts lately.
Mainly because it usually takes me about an hour to post.
Yes I said hour!!!
Why you might ask?
Because my internet connection is terrible where I live now.
I seriously feel like I have dial up again.

I want to thank everyone for all the kind words and wishes about the loss of my grandmother recently. I appreciate every single on of you more than you know!

It is never easy to lose someone you love, but I am grateful that she no longer has to suffer and is in a better place. Though the funeral was sad, it was beautiful. Many friends and families put together stories and slideshows of memories throughout her life.

After the service, we drove at least an hour to her burial site.
This is the beautiful area we just had to stop by afterwords to take pictures.
Just gorgeous!

You all know this guy by now :)

My sister, Celeste and I.
I was fortunate enough to have some much needed time off from work. After my grandmothers' service was over, Brad and I spent a few days in Fayetteville to spend time with friends.

As soon as we got to the place we were staying and changed clothes to go get dinner, we received a phone call from my sister. When she asked to talk to Brad, I knew something was up.

Keep in mind, she just moved into this new place last weekend. She proceeded to tell Brad that she did not wait for the garage door to open all the way before driving in and it hit the top of her truck. She asked if we could go over to take a look at it to see if we could fix it.

Unfortunately, Brad was not able to fix it....and I did not get a picture. This thing was completely sideways, off the tracks and had wires wound up in all different places. Completely jacked up. We managed to get it to stay up so at least she could get out of her garage.
After we left her house we went to dinner and a friends house.

The next morning, Brad and I went to get breakfast. On our way out, he noticed someone was having car trouble and went to help out. That was so nice of him. I hate to see people on the side of the road or in a parking lot with their car not working properly. Thankfully there are people like Brad that actually know things about cars and are willing to help out.

That afternoon, we went to the movies to watch Horrible Bosses.
This movie was HILARIOUS! You have got to go see it. I was very surprised with Jennifer Aniston playing a role as riskay as this {seeing as how she is always the goody-goody in the romantic comedies} but she did a very good job. Great movie.

After the movie we layed out at the pool with a few friends then got ready to go out.
I of course had to go to one of my favorite Sushi restaurants!

Mmmm Baked Lobster :)

So glad I got to see her!
We spent most of the rest of the night at Powerhouse for Party on the Patio listening to a live local band and spending time with friends.

Friday was spent seeing family in town, laying out at the pool and then having to head back home, unfortunately. It is still weird to me to go back to Fayetteville just to visit. I am so used to that being "home." I would move back tomorrow if I could ......maybe one day.

I hope you all have a great weekend! :)

  1. We saw Horrible Bosses too and it was SO funny!

  2. It takes me a looong time to blog too! Well unless I don't put up photos too.
    Cute bloggy! x
