72 Days...

Kim Kardashian filed for divorce today after 72 days of not-so-wedded bliss to Kris Humphries. She cited irreconcilable differences. Surprised?
After watching her 4 hour wedding special I was not at all impressed with her hubby to be. He was always so negative about everything and didn't seem to know anything about her.

I wonder who will end up with that 20.5 carat engagement ring?!
I hope they had a prenup!

You can bet she will be selling her exclusive divorce story to the highest bidder....it's a shame, really. Don't get me wrong, I am a big Kardashian fan and watch all of their shows....I just can't believe how people seem to not believe in marriage anymore. They were only married for 72 days. Try to work it out!! True life relationships aren't always a fairy tale. It is just too easy to get a divorce. Obviously people do not stay true to their vows. There are only a few exceptions that would make me divorce... at least try to work things out.

Just my two cents.
What are your thoughts on this story?

  1. I totally agree with you and your 2 cents. I just got married (three weeks ago) and I just could not even imagine something like this.

I do watch all of the Kardashian shows and love Kim, but my sentiment is the same as yours. Such a disgrace to vows of marriage and everything sacred that goes into them.

I agree...try to work it out.

  2. I feel like people who get divorced in under a year aren't even trying (of course there are excuses such as abuse) but what about counseling? You don't really love someone in the first place if you give up after that little amount of time. I also think people should be dating for at least a year before getting engaged and then another year to actually be engaged!!!!!

what a waste of money! but that is also just my two cents :)

  3. I'm a very traditional person. When you get married your making that commitment in life to stick with that person until "death do you apart". But really 72 days!! I bet she didnt even want to try anymore because he wasn't doing things her way. I love Kim Kardashian but when I was watching her wedding episode she seemed very stuck up. "Her way or the highway"!

  4. I completely agree with you about how it seems like they never really gave the marriage a chance. The vows are "good times and bad".. how could they have had such bad times in only 72 days. I watch all their shows and follow them too, but it makes me upset with her. She had to have known that something was wrong before they got married so why didn't she just not go through with it. I feel like it was some kind of obligation to E!, her family, etc.. Such a waste really

  5. Isn't this ridiculous?! I mean, 72 days! I agree with you and that you work on your marriage. I heard on the radio that her wedding cost $10 million, but she sold the rights for $17.9 million. So in the end, they made money off of their wedding! That makes me think the whole thing was a publicity stunt. Such a shame.
