Friday Favorites: Your guide to SOUTHERN HAIR necessities

This week I want to talk about hair.
Lots of hair.
Fine hair.
Southern hair.
My hair.
what products I use to tame my mane
and what products you NEED in your life.

I have a lot of hair but it is really fine...also since it is so long the weight of it usually makes the body fall. I am absolutely loving the Aquage uplifting foam for that extra VA VA VOOM in my hair. It also adds a little texture to it which I have noticed a big change in how easily it has been holding curl, even in this dreaded summer heat. This product is a bit pricey but definitely worth each penny if you ask me.

I just love the Catwalk "Your Highness" Collection.  If you fine-haired divas haven't found a good shampoo / hair spray combo give this a try. It adds body, fights the frizz and gives you more added fullness while leaving your hair with a lovely jasmine/lavender scent.

If you live in the south then you are well aware of our worst enemy.
Humidity.
I have found that this product works well to tame my mane. It's called Straight Sexy Hair by BIG SEXY.
It leaves your hair feeling silky smooth and frizz free.

I wanted to share with you all one of my most recent finds. The EmiJay Hair tie. Ladies if you are like me and want to wear your hair up and be able to take it down without having that annoying crease...this is the product you need!

Looking for a curling iron that gets hot extra fast and holds the curl well?
This is the tool you need.
It is also an affordable line...you just can't go wrong with hot tools.

  3. Obsessed with those hair ties! I painted a clear coat of nail polish over the ends to keep them from fraying (because they do!) Love your blog--too cute! XO

  5. I love everything about this post! You use the aquage after you blow-dry?? and I have never heard of those hair ties but they sound amaze! Do you like the gold hot tools better than the purple? I got the purple last time and I don't think it gets as hot=I may need to get the gold again. What do you think? I want to try the catwalk too!! Thanks for all the southern hair info!!
