Hello Spring

It's OFFICIALLY the FIRST day of Spring today!

....and that makes me happy, happy happy
The weather is warmer
The days are longer
The flowers are blooming
it is my favorite time of the year!
Okay maybe I each season is my favorite but there is something about the change of season that gets me excited

Call me crazy but I do not mind a little spring cleaning
it is time to go through the house and get rid of those things you have been hoarding for too long and get things all neat and tidy for little get - togethers and cook outs
So get your cleaning supplies ready ladies
I am going to share with you what I do to "spring clean" my home

Spring Cleaning Tips & Tricks

Like it or not, one of the things that we all have to do is CLEAN.  I always seem to be on the lookout for new cleaning tips and ways to make my cleaning tasks quicker and easier.

My go-to products for cleaning:

Vacuum
Steam Mop
Windex
Paper Towels
Stainless Steel Cleaner
Microfiber Cloth
Vinegar
Rubbing Alcohol
Magic Eraser

A cleaning list is a little less intimidating if you break it down by each room
Here is one that is easy to follow

It is easy to get overwhelmed when you are spring cleaning because there is so much to tackle. I always like to start in the main parts of my house - the kitchen and living room. Spring cleaning is a time I do it all. From deep cleaning to organizing. Luckily it is something that I try to maintain throughout the year.

You can either do it from one room to another or choose to do the same task throughout the house

for example: Dusting lighting and fans, cleaning windows, cleaning baseboards

 A few tips

Always clean from top to bottom so any dust or grime that falls down will not fall onto a newly cleaned surface

Remove everything from the countertops and any shelving that you may have.  This will make it much easier to clean so you aren't working around everything.

Dust and wipe down light fixtures with a microfiber cloth.

Open the windows and wipe down the inside of the window sills and tracks. Use a toothbrush or Q-tip to get in the small areas

Clean as you go.  Get in the habit of washing off the counter tops and putting things away after you use them

Clean the showers and bathtubs as soon as you are done.

A few things to remember to keep your house tidy

Don't keep something if you know you will never use it again

Donate or have a sale on a regular basis

Make everything have it's own "place"

Tips you must try if you haven't

Easily clean your microwave by warming up vinegar/water for about 5 minutes. It loosens everything up and you can wipe it out with ease

Pumice Stones are not only used for your feet. If you have a hard water stain in your toilet use a pumice stone to get it right off!

Using dryer sheets across your baseboards are a great way to keep dust off them for a longer period of time

Magic Eraser  = my best friend when cleaning
Complete life changer and time saver
It is seriously amazing the things this will remove
When I could find nothing else to clean the dirt and grime in my grout in my shower floor a magic eraser took it all right up

It instantly removes marks and scuffs on cabinets, doors and baseboards

Seriously ladies if there is something you can't find the right product to clean it up with TRY THESE!
