Motivational Monday

**This post has nothing to do with anything I am currently dealing with, but it is something that I feel everyone can relate to at some point in their life

Ever look back on an event that happened in the past and think.....
How in the hell did I get through that?!
That point where you reach a low in your life.
Something happened that is a complete life change.
That moment where you are heart broken, jobless, someone you know has an illness or maybe you recently lost a loved one.

We have all "been there"

"Life has many ways of testing a person's will,
either by having nothing happen at all or by having everything happen all at once"
 -Paulo Coelho

  • The break up where we felt like no one else could replace him/her
  • The job that doesn't work out for the best whether you leave on your own or are let go or maybe the job you have that requires you to move to a location where you know no one
  • The moment where you receive that phone call that someone close to you has passed away
 It's a scary situation
Quite frankly, it sucks

I'm sure you've all heard the saying "when it rains it pours"
It seems as though everything will be going great for you then all of a sudden x, y, and z occur simultaneously. You have that moment when you shed a few tears   cry so hard you can't cry anymore and wonder if you are ever going to wake up from that terrible dream. Unfortunately, that "dream" is reality at the moment. You wonder if you are ever going to overcome the troubles you are dealing with. You wonder if things will ever be "normal" again.

Life can be so cruel at times.
You turn on the news and hear about all of the terrible things happening around us in the world.
You wonder why they can't talk about as many good things that go on in the world for all they want to discuss is the bad.
Bad things happen to good people

I have learned that going through these low points in our life make us become a stronger person mentally and emotionally. When you make it through that "storm" and see someone you know later facing a similar circumstance it allows you to give them hope.
It is somewhat comforting to know that even though you were at such a low point in your life, you overcame that problem.
So if you are going through a "storm" right now, just know that you will learn from this.
You will get through it.
You will adjust.
You will accept what happened and move on.
What is important is that you realize that you are the one who determines how you react in the "storm"
You determine just how bad it affects you

When it rains, it pours....
but soon,
the sun shines again.

Stay positive.
Better days are on their way

Happy Motivational Monday
